Our penultimate day on the Isle of Wight dawned bright and beautiful - perfect weather again! Fifteen very sleepy and slightly smelly children were dragged from their beds and persuaded into the shower by their equally sleepy teachers, and another day of exciting activities began...The highlights of the day included:
- Another yummy breakfast!
- The chance to get extremely wet and dirty whilst completing the sensory trail - the children were very excited at actually being given permission to crawl through muddy puddles, but were not so keen on the fact that the teachers were given permission to prod them with sticks and throw cold water over them! The teachers enjoyed this a lot but even more enjoyed the fact that it meant that some children HAD to change their clothes for the first time this week!
- Almost everyone getting to the top of Jacob's Ladder - a great team effort and a confidence boost to those who thought they'd never make it!
- Winning all our races in the Dragon Boat race, even though there were fewer of us and we were littler than all the competitors.
- The girls beating the boys considerably in the daily chalet inspection yet again - no surprises there!
It's been another busy and fun day... and the disco is still to come - we must go and get our dancing shoes on. See you all tomorrow,
Love from Mrs Florides, Mrs Harding and the Year 6 children x
